One Year Anniversary of ‘Comatose’

In celebration, Secret Eyes releases new video
One year ago Secret Eyes released their Tragic Hero Records debut album, “Comatose”. In celebration of the anniversary, the band released the highly anticipated video for “Under The Stars”.
This track is one of the most significant to the band as vocalist Seth Cooper explains, “We feel this is one of the most important songs on our album, ‘Comatose’ because ‘Under the Stars’ is emotional and deep for all of us. We hope this speaks volumes to fans so that they can connect, repair, rebuild and be inspired by it.” Cooper continues, “It’s basically Mad Max meets The Burning Man and kind of resembles the end of times which is something that always had fascinated me and the rest of the band. We couldn’t be more proud to show it off.”
“Comatose” has guest features from Jonny Craig (Slaves), Michael Jagmin (A Skylit Drive) and Craig Mabbitt (Escape The Fate/ The Dead Rabbitts) and can be purchased HERE.
About Secret Eyes
Inspired by life’s passions, fears, love, loss and everything in between, the Pittsburgh-based, alternative-progressive rock band, Secret Eyes, features vocalist/guitarist Seth Cooper, drummer Patrick Gallagher, bassist Brian Caine, and guitarist Jarrod Currin. After years of recording and touring in their previous project, all four originating members chose to embark on a fresh, new journey. 2015 marked their signing to Tragic Hero Records, and the release of their debut full length album, Comatose. While special guest vocalists Craig Mabbitt, Jonny Craig & Michael Jagmin add welcoming flavor to the album (as seen in their music video singles for ‘Ships’ and ‘Oh Dear’), Comatose shows no shortage of skill, depth and determination throughout. Lead singer Seth Cooper’s vocals are on display with his signature range, and catchy, relatable lyrics that are showcased in the third single, ‘Under the Stars’. Guitars create a wall of atmosphere that haunt, echo, and crunch through your speakers, while the drums and bass instill revolting energy and rhythm into the album’s core. Fans of musical acts such as Coheed and Cambria, Circa Survive, and Pierce the Veil may hear a welcoming familiarity within Secret Eyes, while the versatility, energy, melodic and pop elements of their sound have the ability to reel in new listeners.

Save Us From The Archon Starts New Chapter

Band kicks off national tour after final performance with bassist Samantha Zunich
Save Us From The Archon is starting off their August in a big way. The band took a journey across the U.S from their home state of Pennsylvania to California where they kicked off their tour with Sianvar and My Iron Lung. Guitarist Nelson Brooks explains the band’s excitement about being back on tour, “We’re just glad to be out on the road again doing the only thing we love with some of our best friends.”
In July, Save Us From The Archon traveled to Chicago to perform on Audiotree. The session is now available online and you can check it out here. Guitarist Andrew Cresto talks about the experience, “Audiotree is hands down the classiest and most fun session we’ve ever done and can’t thank them enough for their hospitality and snap peas.”
The Audiotree session was special as it was the last performance with bassist Samantha Zunich. The band agrees, “there’s no one on this earth we love and respect more than Samantha. She will always be the most hardcore chick we know and will always be one of our closest friends.” Bradley Treen will be taking over on bass and has toured with the band before. Cresto explains, “Brad has been a long time friend as well as an amazingly talented musician. He played bass for us on the Intervals tour so it was a very natural and comfortable transition for us, and we can’t wait to shred the country with him again and again.”
Save Us From The Archon’s Tragic Hero Records debut album “L’Eclisse” is available now at Merchbucket.

About Save Us From The Archon
Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Save Us From The Archon (SUFTA) has sculpted a unique sound that is, at once, aggressive, chaotic, heartfelt, and hypnotic.  Fast paced angular progressions are counterbalanced by soothing mellow interludes.  The broad dynamics are tied together by their progressive foundation with a distinct melodic sentiment.  While SUFTA’s compositions nod to influences spanning math rock, metal, and punk, their sound is unmistakable.
On their new album L’Eclisse, one will find no human voice.  While many bands depend upon a vocalist to express their creative vision, no words are necessary for SUFTA. Their expressive writing and poignant playing tell a vibrant story all their own.
SUFTA remains true to their DIY ethic on L’Eclisse as they wrote, recorded, and produced the record themselves.  But, to further expand upon their vision, they have enlisted help to bring this new offering to life.  The record marks their debut for Tragic Hero Records.  Anthony Calebretta (Protest the Hero, Intervals) is mixing and mastering.
Andrew Cresto (Guitar), Nelson Brooks (Guitar), Samantha Zunich (Bass), Devin Greig (Drums) have been playing together for several years and multiple albums, continually exploring their sound and refining their craft.  Now, with L’Eclisse, SUFTA presents listeners with a snapshot of their latest evolution.
SUFTA’s Tragic Hero debut was released on March 18th, 2016.

Cory LaQuay Steps Into The Spotlight As Vocalist

Former A Skylit Drive drummer takes the mic for Avant Garde
Cory LaQuay is well known on the national music scene as a talented drummer who was with the post hardcore band, A Skylit Drive, for seven years. He contributed backing vocals for ASD, however within this new project, Avant Garde, LaQuay is taking the mic as it’s lead vocalist.
LaQuay teamed up with former ASD band-mate, Joey Wilson, for the new project. Working together in the past, they knew the creative chemistry was there and in addition the two of them alone have complete control over the music. Taking influences from life experiences and keeping a positive theme throughout, this alt rock album is unlike any project either has worked on in the past and they are very excited to present it to the world.

Physical copies of “Fire Walk With Me” are available at Merchbucket and at the digital retailers below:
About Avant Garde
Cory LaQuay and Joey Wilson got their whirlwind start in music in the post hardcore band, A Skylit Drive. Both LaQuay and Wilson were original members and there since the beginning with the band’s first release, an the EP titled “She Watched The Sky” (2007). Together they went on to record 3 full lengths with the band, “Wires and The Concept of Breathing” (2008), “Adelphia” (2009) and “Identity on Fire” (2011).
2012 brought the departure of Wilson after the band finished up their run on the All Stars Tour. As they prepared for their show in the Philippines, Wilson decided it was time to move on and get his personal life together.
LaQuay continued on with the band as the drummer and was involved in the 2013 release “Rise”.  After being the drummer for ASD for 7 years, he decided that the band wasn’t a project he wanted to be a part of anymore and announced he would leave the band.
Staying friends over the years and both sharing a passion for music, Wilson and LaQuay decided it was time to get together and start a new project and that became Avant Garde. In addition to writing the songs together, LaQuay is singing and Wilson is playing guitar.
The duo’s debut album, “Fire Walk With Me” will be released in August 2016 and will be unlike anything fans have heard in the past.
